Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit this site or write to us, and what we do with it.

Effective

Who we are

This website, yuniwave.com, is run by YUNIWAVE, a creative studio for games, websites, and films. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean YUNIWAVE. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@yuniwave.com.

Messages you send us

When you use the contact form, we receive:

  • your name,
  • your email address,
  • your message, and
  • the time you sent it.

Our server passes these details to a Google Apps Script web app, which forwards them to our studio mailbox as an email through Gmail. The form is not stored in a database on this website. The form also contains a hidden field that people should leave empty; it helps us filter automated spam. If that field is filled in, the message is discarded and not sent.

We use these details only to read and reply to your message. The email stays in our mailbox for as long as we need it for that conversation and any work that follows from it. If you email contact@yuniwave.com directly, the same applies.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting services, Vercel records technical details about requests to the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept according to Vercel’s own retention settings.

Analytics

On the live site we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices and browsers they use. We use the reports to improve the site, not to identify you.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you choose, and if you decline, Google Analytics runs in consent mode: it sets no cookies and stores no identifier in your browser, and sends Google only limited cookieless measurements, such as the page viewed, the time, your browser type, and your consent choice. Google uses these to estimate overall visitor numbers. If you accept, Google Analytics also sets the _ga cookies described in our Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Fonts

The typefaces on this site are served from our own domain. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts when you visit.

Who processes your information

We rely on these services to run the site:

  • Google — Google Workspace and Gmail (email), Google Apps Script (contact form delivery), and Google Analytics (visitor statistics).
  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.

These providers may process information on servers outside Japan, including in the United States. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and messages from the contact form are sent from our server to Google over an encrypted connection. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email contact@yuniwave.com from the address you used to contact us, and we will reply within a reasonable time. You can change your analytics choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, and block or delete cookies at any time; see the Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date.
